Solar panels can be seen shading the strips of window openings along the side of the building. Not only do they help regulate the internal ambient temperatures but though the collection of sun energy throughout the mostly sunny year they also provide the Electricity Authority with energy for their headquarters.
An internal atrium acts as the social center and brings light to the very core of the building.
This project was awarded the Neoptolemos Michaelides prize for the best environmentally conscious project in Cyprus for 2006.
