A stunning 90 year old building in the main shopping street in the centre of Nicosia was bought by the national Bank of Greece with the dream of turning into their head offices.

The challenge was on to not only restore this listed building to its former glory but to enlarge it at the back. The fluid marriage of traditional and modern was paramount to the design.

The two building are joined by a lightweight glass bridge made of laminated etched glass pieces where one can float over from the present into the past.
